He does say b...It was possible he was saying book. He does say book when he wants to read, and many of his "words" sound very similar. He definitely knows what he is trying to say. For example, he will point at our tub and say "bath", pick up a ball and say "ball", and point to a balloon and say "balloon," but what comes out of his mouth is "ba[th], ba[ll], and ba[lloon]." He always drops the end of the word so everything must be figured out by its context. The first thing we did with him was read the barn book while he was still tired. He would hand us the book and say baaa baaa. We thought he was saying book.
